Rate Case Proposal 2011

The USPS has published a proposed rate increase for 2011.

The Postal Regulatory Commission must approve the recommended price changes for market dominant services, which would go into effect January 2, 2011. The commission has 90 days to review and make a final ruling on the filing, it can accept or reject all price requests. 

Some of the proposed prices include:

  • First-Class Mail stamp would increase two cents to 46 cents.
  • Each additional ounce would cost 18 cents.
  • Postcard stamp would increase to 30 cents.
  • The first ounce of a large envelope (flat) would cost 92 cents.

Courier Journal Article On December 16th, 2011 the Courier Journal posted an inaccurate article about United Mail. The title of the article was "JCPS admits test score mix-up". The attached letter from JCPS (our customer) tells the accurate story about the error in the ACT mailing. It is unfortunate that the media delivered inaccurate information and even mentioned United Mail in the article. »
