Personalized URLs

You can make your direct programs even more "personal" and compelling by tying them to a personalized website created for each customer.  The result is greater response.

PURLs At-A-Glance:
United Mail's Personalized URL (PURL) platform uses your mailing list to create a unique URL for each direct mail recipient.  (For example, www.yourwebsite/customername)  We then seamlessly incorporate the PURL into your printed collateral using inkjet, laser or variable data printing.  When your customer visits the personalized URL, his or her name and variable information are prefilled on the screen, offering positive reinforcement and increased incentive to visit the site.

The result of implementing PURLs in a mailing has shown to be a dramatic increase in response rates.  PURLs are ideal for surveys, recruitment (colleges/universities), fundraising programs, anyone that is currently using business reply mail, and more! If you haven't considered using PURLs, here are reasons you may want to:

  • 52% of the US population prefers to receive a mail piece in the mail, but then wants to respond online.  PURLs can potentially save 52% of your postage budget if you are currently using business reply mail.
  • PURLs get response information from your customers in REAL TIME.
  • With the help of the new Intelligent Mail Barcode (IMB), timing of receipt of the personalized email blast can be optimized.
  • Each landing page can be dynamic and can change based on the customer's response to questions presented on the landing page.
  • PURLs have proven to significantly increase direct mail response rates.

Courier Journal Article On December 16th, 2011 the Courier Journal posted an inaccurate article about United Mail. The title of the article was "JCPS admits test score mix-up". The attached letter from JCPS (our customer) tells the accurate story about the error in the ACT mailing. It is unfortunate that the media delivered inaccurate information and even mentioned United Mail in the article. »
