Fulfillment

About_tstmnials

Background
A regional health care insurance provider that sends gift cards to members who participate in a newborn wellness program.  The insurer was incurring numerous labor hours to record; track and mail gift cards in a manual system that lacked automation, record tracking and security.  In addition the state mailing requirements include a signed certified mail, receipt which caused the insurer to pay top postage rates.

Analysis and Teamwork
To better understand the program, A United Mail team conducted in-depth meetings with the insurer key personnel.  Based on the findings, a custom fulfillment program was designed and implemented that included automated order fulfillment, fraud and abuse verification and electronic reporting.  An additional USPS postage program was also introduced to decrease postage and processing costs but still comply with state mailing requirements.

Results
Postage and processing costs were decreased by 38%.  The insurer no longer incurs numerous labor hours to fulfill member orders.  Their product is now held in a safe and secure environment and transactional records are readily available to key insurer personnel using the automated system.
